Mame.dk problems -- how about downloading only the ROMs you actually play, PPL?

I don't understand the need of so many people to have their own personal "mirror" of Mame.dk's entire contents! Do you actually PLAY all 2000+ games?? How about limiting updates to just the games you actually DO play, (or at least the ones that are no longer valid with the latest MAME) so the site doesn't go down all the time? I personally use only about 160 ROMS, but I'm frequently shut out from updating the handful that I need because of all the bandwidth hogs out there who blindly do global updates.

Most of the games out there weren't really hits in the arcade (hell, most of them I never SAW in an arcade!) I have a hard time believing that most of these ever get used by those that have them. I'm sure that most ROM collections have a lot of redundancy, a lot of files being overwritten by the exact same version! (Evidence of this is the fact that most of the ROMS I have still work with the latest MAME.)

Let's stop hammering Mame.dk so hard, to ensure that it's still up and running for years to come.
