J-Pac and and vert. hold on arcade monitor

Hey all,
Anyone know how to fix the vert. hold on an arcade monitor that uses J-Pac. For some reason the screen took forever to stop scrolling (Over an hour of minute turns of the vert. scroll knob). After I get it to stop it has the bottom of the screen on top and the top on bottom with a big black bar in the middle. It's like the vert hold is sync'd up wrong. Hopefully you guys can understand this. I'll post a pic of it when I get my Digital camera back today.
