: What does the linker do btw? (and what console is it on?)

: I don't keep up with the console hacking stuff

the linker holds a flash Rom chip which means it can be used to store GBA games, demos, homebrew software, etc. on it. YOu hook the linker up to your computer and send the data to the cartridrige. The cartridge then acts as a reg. GBA cartridge. you can put the cart. in ur GBA and it will run it like a regualr games. they have legitamte uses. Backing up GBA games, and using them for GBA programming or Homebrew software. its a shame this crap is happening b/c there is a huge very nice GBA homebrew scene, and these linkers make it possible. W/o them u are only left to use the homebrew software on ur computer within a GBA emulator. that defeats the purpose of the scene and ruins the experiece. beaing able to play NES, Atari 2600, SMS, etc. portably on ur GBA w/ a flash cart is the whole purpose of the Homebrew emulation/software scene. this kind of stuff really pisses me off.
