What about workarounds? I'm using S-Video, would I get lower contrast if I used composite? Or software workarounds?

I guess the latter is more a os/software specific issue. it would be great if games that caused the problem could be set to turn down the contrast.

Any other possible workarounds?

: Turning down the contrast helps, but you get a very dull picture. I plan on using mine untill I can buy a higher end model.
