Seems to work (finally wasted one to try it), think being the neurotic I am, I'll solder then crimp, but seems to hold just fine crimp alone.

: Well I used whatever gauge is in a cat5 cable (might be thinner) ). I stripped a length of wire twice as long as I needed and folded it over onto itself and twisted it a little. I then stuffed it into the quick disconnect and crimped it with a pair of pliers. It seems to hold the wire just fine.
