I read the message very quickly and didn't notice the part about the casing... But the thing is, taking it out of the casing is really risky. Even if you're careful, it's *really* easy to break the tube when you're putting it in the cab, or when you're moving the cab... The casing builds in a little bit of shock absorbency... So I dunno. I did briefly consider removing a TV from its case, but I chose instead to get a larger cabinet. Still working on that cabinet, actually...
