All a coin mech does is sort "good" coins from "bad" coins. Once a good coin leaves the mech (drops down a different chute than bad coins), the coin trips a microswitch that has a wire on it. You wire this microswitch to the I-PAC just like the switches for buttons and joysticks. If you use quick disconnects to wire the switches you may find that the tabs on the coin microswitches are .25" instead of .187" like the buttons and joysticks. This means that the quick disconnects you used on the buttons and joysticks will be too small.

: Hello, all! Complete newb here.

: I'm sure this is possible, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how difficult /what's involved in wiring the switch in a coin mechanism of a coin door to one of the 'coin' connections on an I-PAC interface??

: If it's doable, then it looks like I'm just going to *HAVE* to buy a working coin door!

: Thanks,
: Peeper
