Here's a pic of me building my cab, you see the pine blocks on the inside I used.

It is not completely sealed. AFTER I did the sides I cut a whole in the botoms and back and screwed from the inside.
You will see screws on top of my cabinet to hold the plexy down. They will go into the MDF below the top MDF piece just barely.

That shows that I used pine board to attach any MDF to other MDF.
Yes, there are screw holes in the side of the control panel, those were mistakes. They are now filled with wood putty.
