Hi:

The "-monitor" problem is because AOS is calling the advmame.exe with "-monitor" parameter.

If you open arcadeos.cfg you can see in the first lines the option to change the parameter.

"-monitor xxx" works with mame, but I think dont work with advmame, read the advmame docs or use -? and get all parameters you can pass to the exe.

Now one question for you :-)
I have a JPAC but it drives me crazy!!! I cant make it work, what videocard do you have?

I have an TNT2, RIVA128, GEFORCEDDR, TRIDENT9680 but the only one time I make it work, I see the AOS menu on screen but very very very dark.

Thanks and good luck.
Note: sorry about my english

: aloha, got a few questions if anyone can help. my setup is a PC using win98 dos connected to JPAC connected to my arcade cab. i tried using arcadeos with advancemame and everything works great till game load cycle it says (unknown command - monitor) and goes back to arcadeos menu. i tried using advancemenu with advancemame and it all works great except i cant get advmenu's MENU to display properly.. games work great. seems like advancemenu's menu is not being displayed at the proper freq for my arcade monitor while the menu for arcadeos does but errors on gamme bootup
: please help if i havent confused you .. hehe thankxz steve in hawaii
