I also think a database is the way to go now. In my cabinet I did not need it but lately I use my frontend also on my main pc for other emulators beside mame and it is just much easier to find things with a database...Are you planning onm making yours available to others...I have it working partially allready with v12 but if I could reuse yours that would be even better beacuse i am no prefessional when it comes to databases ;-)
Glad to hear that flash will have more of the Shockwave features, the fact that you can not on the fly change images was the amin reason I choose (two yerars ago) to use Director and not Flash to make my frontend...
