You have to be able to display windows on your arcade monitor first..... there are certain video cards/video card drivers available for this type of thing though. If that's the only thing holding you to a front-end (I'm guessing aos or advance menu) then it's time to do some researching again and see if you can find one of the afore mentioned solutions...
Btw I'm working on a standalone app to do this type of thing, regardless of the card, but it's very slow going, so don't count on seeing it anytime soon.
