If oyu look at the pic of the ipac (http://www.ultimarc.com/images/pic2hi.jpg)
you will see it allows for 2 joystick with 8 buttons, 2 coin button, and 2 start button. But since they are just keypresses they are just all buttons. plan in coin and start buttons if you want some.

What tht eothers suggested is the 4way and 8way left/right/up/down/ be wired together. Then put a switch on the (three prong, two on positions). The middle prong will go to he IPAC ground. Then the other two prongs will go to the the joysticks gorund. On post for one joy and the other post for the other. Then just switch to the stick you want to use.
You could even reuse buttons that way too if you need too.

: i am putting together a mame cabinet soon and i will be gettin the ipac. i am plannin on puttin (2) 8-ways joysticks with 6 buttons for each joystick, (1) 4-way with 3 buttons, and a trackball via mouse hack. i still need to have 1 & 2 player buttons and some other extra buttons but i dont know how many ipac can handle. is this pushing it for ipac?

: can someone tell me how many more extra buttons i can have on this cp with ipac?
: thanks
