I used a Hagstrom KE72T, but I'm sure a IPAC-OptiPAC combo would work just as good. The IPAC has 28 inputs which means you'd have to either cut back on the buttons (my panel uses 34 inputs) or daisy-chain 2 IPACs. I don't know anything about the JPAC but I think it is similar to an IPAC with a JAMMA fingerboard and an extra circuit to only pass 15KHz video.

The main advantages of the KE72T are the fact that it has 72 inputs and it supports sending macros (very useful for automating tasks such as sending an Alt-F4 with a single button). The OptiPAC is much better than the mouse encoder on the KE72T since it has 2 mouse encoders that each automatically switch between 4 axes. The KE72T only has one 2-axis encoder.

: Thanks for all the replies you guys have really helped to give me some direction on this panel. Skeleton your panel looks great by the way. Now, once this is done I could I just hook this panel up via the keyboard hookup that is on the Jpac? Or no because it wouldn't recognize inputs for the trackball/mouse?

: Thanks again
: Michael
