Yes, very strange, indeed. Like Rocket said, make sure you are running the DOS version of MAME. Note that mame.exe is NOT the DOS version. It is still a Windows version and does not work properly with Game Launcher. You must use dmame.exe to get it to work properly.

BTW, you may want to subscribe to the Game Launcher mailing list for support questions. I read that everyday, where as I only glance over this web site every few days.
