best bet would be to have a mouse / keyboard setup with the trackball as the mouse and figure out what keys you like and add buttons for them. Forward/back/strifes...

trouble will be the fire buttons.... since you wont have access to them on the trackball.

I would think that the best would be adding a mouse on the control panel. But then it wont look like an arcade.

Or you could try getting a 5k pot flight stick. I think they have some at videoconnect for cheap(40bucks if I remember correctly). Then instead of a mouse, you use a joystick and a keyboard setup. I've never tried it, but it should be very doable with some practice. Then it would be a good control panel for flight games.
