Would a 49way optical work best or an 8way joy?

2 buttons for "strafing" left/right movement (maybe you could wire a spinner)
1 Fire
? additional action buttons
1 "next weapon"
1 for walk/run (or use "always run in game config")
? weapon hotkeys
1 jump
1 crouch
trackball for crosshair
the rest depend on which game I guess
If you still have the quick reference guide, use that as a guideline. Or go into the config and figure out which keys are the most frequently used between all your chosen games, and use those keys as the basic controlls, maybe the rest could be swapped out.

: I am currently stuck in my electronics building part of the cabinet while I wait on a few parts so I am going to finish up my control boxes. I really want to run a few PC games which are 1st person shooters...Kingpin, Ghost Recon, etc. So I guess my question is what would make up an "ideal" 1st peson shooter setup? Has anyone done this who would like to offer me a little insight?

: Michael
