In Reply to: Anyone here running KIame (Killer Instinct 1 or 2) in their cab? posted by Jakobud on January 29, 2002 at 02:01:41:

Okay, in the U64emu window there is a dip switch setting to start up the game either in Play mode or in Test mode. Going into test mode and running the emulator will start up the machine in Test mode where you can change the games' volume and stuff (and I learned in there that the plus and minus keys on your keyboard also change the volume of the game while running the game!). Whoever made this U64emu really needs to beef up the stupid documentation on it. Geez

: I don't know why I didn't download the KIame emulator a long time ago. I freakin loved Killer Instinct. Anyways, I want to put this into my cabinet when I get it finished, but I don't like that way you have to get the game running. You have to start the windows executable, then hit the reset button in the window to get the game running. Is there are better way of doing this? Like command line switches for the emulator? Also, regarding the sound in the Killer Instinct 1 emulator. Is anyone else's volume for that game super low? I have to turn my Windows volume control up to the max to make the sound/music in Killer Instinct be at a normal volume. Normally, my Windows volume control is at about 25% and every other program sounds fine. Anyone else have this problem? It's gonna really suck in my cabinet when I want to play Killer Instinct I have to go to the stupid windows desktop and turn the volume up in the volume control in the taskbar. Anyone have any experiences like these?
