It sounds like you need a refresher course in basic geometry. Use the Pythagorean theorem...
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
15.25^2 + 11.25^2 = c^2
232.5625 + 126.5625 = c^2
359.125 = c^2
18.95 = c
Of course a 19" monitor may have different dimensions than you specified.
