Emulaxian 3d arcade frontend wip pics and info

Here are some pics on the 3d interface I am working on for Emulaxian and Robocade. It allready works and is fast and smooth on my system...I like it! :-)

This jpeg pic does not do it justice, it is resized down 2x from the frontend screencapture and is also much sharper in the frontend itself.

The joystick up and down zooms in and out at the cab's that display the marquee and screenshots on the fly. (Can also be original cabs)
The joystick left and right rotates the view so a new cab comes in view at one and and one disappears at the other end, ie horizontal scrolling through the gamelist.
Keys for tilting the camera and move it up and down.

How it works: 9 cabinets are placed on a part of a virtual circle. The camera sits in the center facing the cabs. When you pull the joystick right. The most left cab is translated to the position next to the most right cab, its textures are updated...and the camera rotates...
This way I only need 9 cabinets while rotating full circles!

I would really like to hear ideas about what would be cool to add...what kind of arcade background...etc....?
