the problem is that CRT's were not designed tobe turned ontheir side.

you need to make sure they don't get too hot as all the vent holes tend to be on the top, which becomes the side when it's on it's side (what?)

just keep the think cool, being stuck inside an enclosed cabinet doesn't help.

i've had mine like this for ages, no fire's yet.

my advice, plenty of vents, and don't leave the thing un attended!
