The Happ UGCI is not suitable for MAME. It's designed for commercial applications. MAME expects to see a keyboard/mouse and this interface does not emulate these devices. The Hagstrom unit should work but be aware that if it enumerates to Windows as a standard USB keyboard then it will only recognise 6 simultaneous key-presses, plus shift, ctrl and alt.

: I'm about to start ordering parts to make my first cab. I'm wondering what people's opinions are on the "USB Keyboard Encoder and Trackball Interface" from Hangstrom, and the "USB Game Control Interface" from Happs (other than the fact that it's really expensive). Anyone have any luck or problems with either? Thanks for the feedback.
