: I always have to be the bad guy. :(

Not bad! Opinionated, maybe, but that's not always a bad thing.

: With all do respect to the creator(s) of emuloader, it's the exact oppostie fo what every fe developer aroudn these parts is working on. It's extremely "windowsy" and we are trying to do the exact opposite.

I disagree. It's no more "windowsy" than MameWizard, 1-Up, or any of a dozen other frontends. I tend to like the Windozy look, but then I don't have space for an arcade cab and am playing MAME on my (home) office PC, with genuine arcade controls as I find money/time to add them. I could use either RD or Emulaxian to play VP, but I prefer the look and feel of EL. Different strokes for different folks.

> Delphi is also a rather strange choice for a prog lang. It seems that emul could have been made much more rapidly in vb or even v c++. But I'm bitchin as usual so you can just disregard all of that if it offends you.

I don't know enough about programming in any language to be offended.

: As for the tables and such.... It's pretty much agreed that vp needs some standardization to match it's more structured vpinmame counterpart. If you could convince eveyone to do that then adding support would be extremely easy.

Basically, what it needs is a command line option to launch tables. I contacted Randy Davis (by E-mail) about this about a year ago and got no reply.

: As for the artwork... If someone can help me find all of it then I would be willing to clean it up, give it a proper naming convention(assuming we could all agree on one), and convert it to the more common png format.

I assume you know about the Internet Pinball Database http://www.lysator.liu.se/pinball/IPD/ (link below also). There are also some pics on Bally and Williams home pages and probably the best source is E-bay. (That's the main thing I use for www.mameworld.net/imagxtreme) (shameless plug!)

Contact me directly if you make any progress on this. I might be able to help out with that (through contacts, not personally).

: As usual I'll help however I can,

: HAC

Thanks!!!
