It's a restrictor plate, so it is a true 4-way when in 4 way mode.
I am trying to get a discount for quantity from the manufacturers then they will be on sale.
The biggest problem is getting suppliers to take you seriously when you say they are going to home users! The amusement industry does not acknowledge that there is such a market.
One thing you have to be careful of is not to mention emulation is the company of industry people. I let the word slip out by mistake at ATEI this week and got several icy stares! It's a bit like mentioning the word "cancer" to a Marlboro executive!
The Happ universal also has a restrictor plate. As it stands you have to remove 2 screws to move the plate but with a small mod (longer screws, spring washers and loktite thread lock) we may be able to sell them such that the plate can be rotated without undoing screws.

: I first heard of this stick on the MAME board about a week and a half ago. There is a lever under the control panel. Here's the link to it:

: : Does this stick that switches from 4 to 8 by just a lever do it electronically, mechanically, or does it actually rotate some sort of restrictor plate?
