You would jump out to DOS and type the command:

mame [name of the game to run] [options]

for example:
mamew mspacman -nosound

or you could use a front end. I have developed a front end called ArcadeFX. You can download it from the link below. It will make it easy for you. :)

If you don't want to use a front end read txt file called windows.txt it will tell you what you need to know.

: I am totally new to all of this and my friend and I are trying to figure out how to get mame to work. We got Mame057 and downloaded a few roms and put them in the rom section but I can't seem to find out how to play them. I have Windows 98 and 300mhz. Please help out the newbie.
