Since your a newbie I'm going to suggest that you download mame32. The offical mame port is command-line basedl, so you simply open a dos prompt navigate to your mame directory and then type mame.exe xxxx where xxxx is the name of the zip file for the roms you downloaded.
: I am totally new to all of this and my friend and I are trying to figure out how to get mame to work. We got Mame057 and downloaded a few roms and put them in the rom section but I can't seem to find out how to play them. I have Windows 98 and 300mhz. Please help out the newbie.
