Eh.. I think you're overstating the "burden" of administration a little. There are what, a couple hundred people who post here? Far fewer than that are regulars. I am on several boards of this size and none of them have many difficulties with administration/moderation. Most of the sofware packages automatic facilities to help with resetting passwords (password hints.)

Stolen passwords? To do what? On this BBS you don't need to steal a password to be a troll, you just post anonymously. It seems to me the only purpose of stealing a password is to get access without registering or to impersonate someone else, and it seems to me that anyone can do either of those things right now with this setup.

Besides, Saint could delegate some admin responsibilities to other moderators if there was too much to do.

: I was referring to the increased administration responsibilities on the admin (server side) for resetting passwords, dealing with people who "steal" userids, or invalidate them by having them reset through automated tools.... If saint has the time to deal with that responsiblity I say go for it. But for what this board already provides I think its ok.

: : As for userid/password, how difficult is that? A cookie can keep you from having to enter it each time you visit. No big deal.

: : While it's not bad enough to make anyone leave, I certainly think new forum software would add a lot to this already valuable resource.
