Why not a latch and pivot. That way you just release them and spin them out. Looking at the picture I thought they did pivot.
And maybe anodize them black too.

: Seriously, I haven't timed myself, but it probably takes about 10-15 seconds. A lot easier than opening my control panel and switching over the joystick actuator, that's for sure. I did investigate many different possibilities for securing the restrictors, such as pins, quick releases, etc... Nothing else would hold up to the pounding of the joystick, and maintain an accurate position of the cutout.
