Give Raging Dragon a try....
Very similar to Aplayer and Arcade FX....
It's a tad less stable at the moment, but it's relatively faster and supports more emus natively than the other 2. (For the moment at least, these guys are constantly updating there FE's as am I)

It currently supports any variant of mame/mame32, u64 and u64 beta2 (for Ki 2), impact, modeler (partial support at the moment), and Visual Pinball.... You can also launch any stand alone exe (read pc game or jukebox program), or non-supported emu's game that supports command line options via a custom list you can manually edit.... Also all kinds of bells and whistles including artwork (flyers/snap/cab pics/ect) preview and the option to load skins that browse by artwork instead of a normal list...
It's fully skinnable as well.

Raging Dragon's Homepage

ok I'm done
:)

Also try emulaxian.. you'll need a lot of system resources(read decent video card) for the new 3d cab preview, but if you love the classic feel and the bells and whistles, it's worth checking out...

There are also ton's of "no frills" emus out there, but since most of them look like a variant of mame32 it dosen't seem worth it to those who wish to use it in an arcade cab....
Just my opinion though, you may feel differently about it.

: Is there a frontend for windows that I can control with joysticks instead of a mouse
