Hehhehe, yeah I am still messing around with the circuits stuff. It might be a while Fooling around with a possible X10 startup shutdown device. Mostly it will be links to other peoples stuff. PC2Jamma, Druins LS-30 interface.
The LCD files are just binary/text files that get pumped out to the LCD over a serial port by arcadeos. I have all of that working. I just need some content, such as a flat file or database with ...say... a description of the controls for each game.
Pac Man - 4 Way Joystick to move, No Buttons
Super Street Fighter - 8 Way Joystick to move, Light Punch, Medium Punch, Heavy Punch
Light Kick, Medium Kick, Heavy Kick
Right now arcadeos just dumps the whole file to the serial port. I'm going to modify the code in Arcadeos and possibly mame so the the file spits out and scrolls in the lcd. Maybe even in reponse to a button press. If that doesn't work I may attempt to build a hardware based rs232 buffer.
Interesting, I just took a look at the listings in KLOV and they have control descriptions.
...Now to build a web parser...or perhaps beg for a data dump.
: When are you going to update your site with the circuits and software. :P
: What are these LCD files you need? Do you mean programs to run it?
: I guess you could use history.dat for some of the, but no idea how without more info on your LCD setup.
: : I have my LCD working, but I have no content. Has anyone one put together Arcadeos style LCD files? I would like to have LCD files for one or more of the following.
: : 1. control information, what buttons do what for each game.
: : 2. misc information, who made the game, credits, etc.
: : 3. High Scores
