I bought a matrix orbital serial LCD. Mounted it, plugged it in to my serial port (discovered that com1 is com2 and com2 is really com1 as marked on my case) I set the serial speed, edited the arcadeos config file and then used a hex editor to write a file that spews out some settings and a clear command. Added some text to the file and saved it with the appropriate name. Works as advertised. I just need to figure out how to get the content. I don't want to enter it by hand so it would be nice to find a dat file or database that I can pull the info from and spew out lcd files.
