If your going to buy something anyway, then everything changes. If you have a 19" monitor, and want to save cash, use it. If you have an arcade monitor, the get a jpac.

If you don't have anything, and you will have to buy something no matter what, then you should be able to find a new svid tv for less then the same size 'B' grade PC monitor (and a true 27" pc monitor will be way way to much).

Also, try to find a 25" or 19" svid TV before a 27". MUCH harder to find, but they are out there (but almost never out on the floor at stores). Why? Most cabinets can't fit a 27" TV without removing it from its case. If you can get around this, you just kept your warranty.
