Cross Shipping Cross Shipping

I'm getting a lot of questions about cross shipping lately and, unfortunately, we have had to suspended the cross shipping program recently. It worked very well for seven years, but here lately there has been a growing number of the "cross shipped" payments either running way past the allotted 10 days transit time or not showing up at all. Alice has been spending so much extra time & energy on this, that she is ready to just stop cross shipping altogether! I've been telling her since Thanksgiving that I thought it was due to the holidays, but the late list continues to grow :-( She gave me a huge list today that looks more like an open account list with nearly 70 payments in arrears, some over 30 days... some over 60 days... and 5 new names that she has asked me to post to the Bad Trader List :-(

Maybe this is a sign that the economy is not as good as it appears to be... I don't know... but I do know that without the payments coming in a timely fashion I am not able to buy in the common game items in quantities needed to continue supplying them at wholesale prices. By taking this step it will afford us the opportunity to continue supplying the vast majority with affordable new game parts.

I'm hoping that this is just a temporary phase that will clear itself up & we can continue on with the cross ship list... adding more to it, and in the meantime, perhaps PayingFast is the way to go when you need those parts in a hurry.

Update May 2004:

Sorry to say that the situation continues & it seems that even PayingFast is experiencing the cash flow crunch :-( Having cross shipped without incident for so many years I've been eager to start it up again to get your parts to you in the customary 2 days, but each time I try it seems my list of unpaid orders grows disproportionately :-(

Update August 2006:

I'm glad to report that cross shipping has been back to normal now for well over 2 years with only a couple of minor incidents, proving once again that most vid people are good people!
