arcade monitor on a voodoo3 3000

Does anybody have any experiance connecting a voodoo3 3000 with tv-out to an arcade monitor? I know ArcadeOS wonīt work, but how about the tv-out option via the VGA out? Donīt be shy to tell my your results!!
