I've tinkered a bit and here's what I've learned.

It's an LPX motherboard. The video card immediately puts up a spash screen to hide the boot sequence, whether the ROM board is plugged in or not. I can connect a keyboard and hold shift to stop the boot sequence, then type DOS commands. I know it's working because I can type "autoexec" and it'll continue booting. The motherboard uses an Award PCI/PNP 586 BIOS.

When I have more time to tinker, I'm going to take the hard drive out of my MAME cabinet and hook it up just to see if it'll boot off it if I unplug the ROM board.

Tim
