Need help with Windows NT and joysticks!

I need to do some testing of a joystick that connects via the joystick port on WinNT, and as I've hardly used NT before I don't know where to start.

I've looked in Control Panel and found no applet for Game Controlers as in Win 95 etc, and to be honest I'm lost!

Is there meant to be a Game Controller applet? I suspect the answer is yes, and that the machine I looked at may not have all the required drivers installed (it was a PC at my place of work) but I wasn't really in a position to mess with it too much.

Can someone with Win NT please shed some light on what I need to do so it will recognise my joystick? I hoped that it would be as easy as the other versions of Windows.....
