I was reading some articles, I think arcadeathome.com a few weeks back, and they said it would take a good 800 Mz system to run the new Midway driver for NBA Jam... but actually, the game is very playable on my Celeron o'ced 300A / 450 mz. 19-22 fps isn't great, but its very playable. :) I was suprised and happy. I guess I spent 100 dollars in the coin op playing that game, and its brought back memories. I was thinking I was going to miss out on a great release due to a "not top of the line processor.. but the game almost has no noticeable slowdown at all for me (I'm old and have forgotten its true speed anyway... lol) . I can tell it lags a bit during some of the audio at the selection screens, but overall, its excellent. I hear NBA Hangtime is out too, but I don't have it yet. That one may be too slow on my system though. There was a couple other games that played at a snails pace for me . couple of the vert. shooters (suprising because they weren't that graphic intensive either). Anyway.. it indeed was an excellent release... one of the best to date in my opinion.
