Build you own driving cockpit?

I thought that I've seen these here before but I can't find anything... so...

Has anyone seen projects where you build a driving cockpit? Anything from just a seat and steering wheel mount to using an actual car frame. I have some friends that are mildly intrested and this would be a good look place to start looking for past successes and failures.
