I agree with you agent davis. An all in one control panel is not authentic but I had to strike a balance.

I've got kids 6, 8 and 16 and the all in one will be more convienent for them to play any game without having to wait for me to swap panels. When we have parties, or the neighborhood kids are over after school, people can come play their favorite game with no fuss.

To reduce the clutter I moved the coin in and start buttons off the control panel, only 4 buttons but every little bit helps.

Storing panels wouldn't have been a problem as I built a storage compartment at the bottom of the cabinet that could hold 2 or 3 panels.

So it all depends on striking a balance between you wants and needs. I wanted a dedicated horizontal cabinet, dedicated vertical cabinet and a cabinet dedicated to home console systems. Well, because of time and money I'll consider myself lucky to complete just the all-in-one cabinet.

Best of luck to you on yours, whichever way you go.

: There is absolutely no advantage to this sort of thing over swappable control panels. This is the way to go. On panel with a million buttons and controls looks dumb as hell and is anything but authentic looking but individual panels with unique controls functions better because you have the controls that you need when you need them and it gives your cab several different looks to it, all authentic in there own way. And to all those people that say that it costs more to make swappable cp's, Yeah, the price of a little extra wood is through the roof these days!
