: Im building a replica Street Fighter II Champion Edition cabinet and was wondering what kind of wood i should use? MDF or Plywood? i know that both have their plusses and minuses, but please give me your guys's thoughts. I was also wondering where i can find more precise specs on the cabinet. So far ive been taking measurements from the one at my local arcade. Its funny, i was getting some weird looks while i was in there. One of the employees asked me what i was doing...heh. Thanks for the help!

They probably thought you were seeing if it would fit through your front door. :o)

I am thinking of using plywood myself. Probably cabinet grade plywood (no pun intended). It is strong and fairly smooth and lighter than mdf. MDF is much smoother and cheaper and would probably give you a better looking painted surface though. Those are just my thoughts, I could be wrong about the finished look.
