it should work in theory with Allegro apps. Do the PSX emulators use this? I've never tried them.
With a GunCon, I think a tv-out is mandatory. With the Konami-type guns, probably not.
I'd test it out, but I'm afraid to solder after burning out a PSX trying to make a trackball from a mouse!
