What screen size is a "regular" arcade monitor? What I mean is...on CLASSIC games like Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, etc. What size monitor do those use, how big is the screen, and what size computer monitor would yield a comparable screen size?
Also...what size are most cockatil monitors? The Donkey Kong cockatil I play on has the vertical monitor mounted perpendicular to the table's length, so it seems like it's a fairly small monitor. Doesn't the Frogger cocktail do the same thing? On Pac-Man cocktails the monitor is mounted WITH the long dimention of the table, so I think those monitors are certainly bigger.
I'm still undecided on what type of cabinet to build (everyone keeps popping out with excellent cabinets of all different types and it's hard to choose!) the type of cabinet I build will depend on the size of the monitor I use. Thanks.
