Just like Agent says, you don't need a switch. The fingerboard is the way to go. Solder your connections to the fingerboard and plug it into the JAMMA harness. When you want to use a genuine JAMMA pcb, just unplug the fingerboard from the JAMMA harness, put the JAMMA pcb in and fire it up! Pretty convenient really... The REAL Bob Roberts sells them if you are looking for a place to buy 'em...real cheap also.

JAMMA only supports 3 shot buttons per player and my cabinet had 6 so a separate wiring harness was present for that capability. I didn't look to hard, but I couldn't find the appropriate connector to connect to this connector (got that?) but since I don't plan on using real JAMMA boards, I clipped the connector off and used a barrier strip to connect my wires to the wires in the cabinet. I saved the connector so I could always rewire it if I had to. Ideally though, I would have found a mating connector...

: As always I'm scheming and planning a dozen ideas of what I want to do in the future with my gaming addiction... don't know if they'll ever happen but... :)

: Assuming I were to someday obtain a JAMMA cab, using Advance MAME, what resolutions could I expect to be able to use? Obviously it'd be much more limited than a VGA screen. What games would I NOT be able to play for example?

: Next, has anyone built or know where to buy a JAMMA video input switcher? My thought was if I ever had a JAMMA cab, to keep it's JAMMA functionality for real game boards, but use a switch to use the PC for emus.

: Lastly, has anyone ever tried running a TV signal to a JAMMA cab? Given limited space, it'd be cool if a cab could double as a TV. Especially if it had a nice big screen.

: Thanks in advance for any replies.
