You only need a switch for convience's sake. My cab right now is jamma capable. That's what the jamma fingerboard is all about. Basically, throught the use of the fingerboard, it makes your pc a jamma pcb, just as if it were any arcade board. Get it? All you have to do is unplug it from the jamma harness and plug a board in. There is absolutely no modifications to the cab whatsoever. No cutting, nothing.
