That said, I would not change how I went about it because I have learned so much in the process. Buying your way through a problem is definately the easiest way, but the least rewarding in a growth sense. I am now through two serial mice, and have desoldered the optics from my Happs PCB's, working on getting a mouse hacked into these on a blank board to replace the original ones on the trackball.
Andy will come up with something spectacular I am sure, the IPAC is awesome. I will most likely buy it as well because it will be a much cleaner solution, in respect to my thrice redone mouse hack... =XO
