: : Well if thats true..... (and i really don't know the
: : answer to that) I wonder what causes that.
: : I am no expert when it comes to this stuff, but
: : I would thing its because of some kinda change
: : in the magnetic field that would cause it to
: : have color change etc. Would it help if after
: : you rotated the monitor you hit it with a
: : degaussing coil? I really have no idea but
: : that just came to mind. Actually I am fairly
: : interested in this cuz I would like to rig
: : my monitor to rotate.

: I have a 19" CTX monitor that I quite often will rotate on my desk. The instant it is rotated, the colors are all whacked, but I hit the degauss button, and its perfect. When I go back to horizontal, again the colors are instantly whacked again. So I just hit the degaus button again and voila back to normal. I have been doing this flipping for about the past 8 months, with no obvious side effects. Colors are still very solid in either orientation. The only thing I have been putting off is drilling some holes in the side for heat ventilation when it is vertical. The are only holes in the top that give off a bit of heat and i can't imagine it can be too healty to let it build up when I have it on its side.
