That's what I did with my trackball/ dual spinner panel. I made a y connector so the trackball and spinners could be plugged into the serial port togeather and then ran the power from both to a switch at the front of my panel. I just flip the switch whenever I want to go from spinner to trackball and vice verse. My web page has more info on this. Just go to the wiring and connectors section.
