Well I could do this, but it makes everything run so much slower. I'll hve to go out and look for a replacement cache util I guess. Hopefully that will do the job.

: Try removing smartdrv.exe from your autoexec.bat and try again. Somehow that works better on my system maybe it'll help you too.
