I've done Jude's hack on my own Return of the Jedi arcade yoke and if you already have yours handy, if you open it up the mounting of the pots is pretty obvious. Take the appropriate sized wrench and pull out the old pots, and put the new ones in. Voila! As per the centering of the pots, you have to move the yoke in all directions to be sure that the pots travel in each direction without stopping prematurely. It takes a while to get it just right. I have noticed that the 100k pot for the x axis (left to right - hope I got that right!) moves fine, but the 100k pot for the y axix (up and down) is a bit unsteady, so I'm in the process of trying to hunt down a 250k pot to see if this smooths things up a bit.
