: You have to cut-out a rhombus-like shape, so that the housing raises flush with the sides of the rhombus cut-out. Mount the trackball to the plate and then mount the plate down through the wood control panel. The plate actually houses the trackball. If you don't want to go with the plate, then affix it to the plaxiglass, or do alot of sanding!!! check out the control panel schematics on my site
