There's some ports of Q-bert for home systems, but Q-Bert 3 for the SNES was a pretty good sequel.
For that game, you were supposed to hold the controller at a diagonal to simulate the arcade control.
Worked pretty well unless you got mixed up. If i were going to use a diagonal stick I'd definitely install the SNES game along with MAME.
Also, maybe Congo Bongo?
